
Rev. Munoz was ordained an Elder in Full Connection in the United Methodist Church in 2012. In October 2014, she was appointed Senior Pastor of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church in East Brunswick, NJ – a vital congregation doing amazing Ministry with young people and families. Rev. Munoz currently serves as the Chair of the Raritan Valley District Committee on Ministry and serves as the Secretary of the Greater New Jersey (GNJ) Board of Pensions and Health Benefits. Prior to her appointment at Aldersgate UMC she served as the Coordinator of Children, Youth and Young Adult Ministries for the GNJ Conference. She also served as the GNJ Safe Sanctuaries Coordinator from 2008-2020, helping local congregations in reducing the risk of child abuse in the church.
Rev. Munoz is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a Degree in Music Education; and after earning her Masters of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology, she also obtained a Certificate in Youth and Young Adult Ministry from the Boston Theological Institute. Rev. Munoz is passionate about raising up young disciples in the Church and believes every Church should serve as a safe and encouraging place for young people to learn and grow in God’s love. She currently lives in East Brunswick with her husband, Matt, their two children, Madelyn 8 and Braelon 5, their cat Tips, and their newest addition, a Goldendoodle puppy, Hazel.
